Rahul Dravid, the Head Coach of India A and Under-19 team, has been paid his professional fee for the month of February by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The veteran batsman has been paid an amount of INR 40,50,000 for his services to nurse the youngsters.

The amount is same as what he received in March. It eventually reflected that his monthly salary is fixed at INR 40,50,000 by BCCI.

Dravid is contracted with the Board till 2019 and it will be only after that whether BCCI will look for a new coach or will Dravid renew his contract?

Dravid first assumed the role in 2015.

However, he continued to be associated with IPL franchise in the same role.

Until 2017, he was associated as a coach in IPL but a letter from Ramachandra Guha – former member of COA – saw questions being raised on roles of coaches.

This saw Dravid leaving his job at Delhi Daredevils. Other coaches associated with BCCI had to follow the suit.

Paras Mhambrey (Mumbai Indians), R Sridhar (Kings XI Punjab), Bharat Arun (Royal Challengers Bangalore) and few others had to leave their job at IPL.

Ravi Shastri, the Head Coach of Team India, is also not allowed to do commentary during the ongoing IPL. It is expected that the stint will lead to Conflict of Interest.

Recently, Venkatesh Prasad had to quit as Chief Selector of Indian junior teams to be associated with Mohali-based outfit Kings XI Punjab.

Dravid, along with other BCCI coaches, is not associated with IPL in any position now.

Meanwhile, Rahul Dravid will soon be in action. India A team is all set to travel to England in June.

In fact, many of the Test stars like Ajinkya Rahane, Murali Vijay, R Ashwin are expected to be part of the team. It came to the forth in a bid to prepare for the tour of England.

India A might also tour New Zealand next year. India U19 team will soon be action as well.

They are scheduled to travel to Sri Lanka in the month of July.

Later, India will also host Afghanistan U19 and Nepal U19.
