Ben Stokes’ Savage Assault Victim was former British Soldier

In the latest development regarding the street brawl in Bristol which broke the internet earlier this week has sprung another surprise, the alleged victim of Ben Stokes turned out to be the former private soldier of British Army, who has been to war-torn Afghanistan in 2013.

According to the British Media reports, the 26-year-old man was recognised as Ryan Hale, who was hospitalised with multiple injuries during the infamous brawl soon after third One-day international between England and Windies.

It’s pertinent to mention that star all-rounder Stokes has been further suspended from international cricket activities, as his case is being probed by Avon and Somerset Police including the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

Hale’s mother Angela revealed her son has always shown maturity while adding the former squaddie has not been involved in any fighting owing to be abstemious.

“It is not OK and it is not something that happens on a daily basis. It is not something you expect to happen,” Angela was quoted as saying by Daily Mail Online.

Angela reiterated the incident had left her distraught while adding she is not in a condition to give her opinion, as the law is bound to take its course.

“I don’t want to say anything to discredit anyone. But you have clearly seen the video footage. I just know there was a fracas and I have seen the video,” Angela maintained.

As Stokes’ case is being investigated thoroughly after thrashing Hales in the southwest region of England, he is facing the charges of ‘actual bodily harm’ after injuring his hand too in the scuffle.

“But I don’t want to comment on it as I think it is up to the police to do their job and carry out their investigation,” Angela concluded.

Earlier, the English tabloid The Sun accessed the CCTV footage which forced ECB to indefinitely ban the Test vice-captain Stokes for the Three Lions after being named in the 16-member squad for Ashes 2017-18.

The video capsule revealed Stokes punched two men in the wee hours of Monday near a pub, as one of them was knocked down to the floor.

The video of assault further revealed ODI star Hales was urging Stokes to stop punching Hale, who was out with his 27-year-old friend Ryan Ali.

Moreover, opening batsman Alex Hales was also present at the scene when Stokes was thrashing the two people on the street, as one of them was carrying a bottle.

It would be a massive blow for England before flying to Australia if Stokes would be found guilty following the infamous incident.

Moreover, ECB has already warned the players for maintaining the discipline following the ramification of Stokes’ case.
