126 vs India, 1st Test, Mohali 2010
Watson was never recognized as the Test batsman of Australia. He was a prolific limited over batsman for Australia. But Cricket Australia selectors called him for 2010 India tour because he was one of the Australian players who play the spin with a supreme whim.
At Mohali, one of the few Indian grounds which assist fast bowler, Watson embarked his Test hundred. He was asked to open the innings. He got life twice when Virender Sehwag dropped him at zero and wicketkeeper and captain MS Dhoni at 37. Watson took 338 balls for his 126 runs as this knock was quite difficult as Indian spinners were using their range of tricks to get rid of him. But Watson has shown great grit of his mind and determination.
The former Australian bloke was a natural stroke maker so when he settles down stroke started to flow around the park.
