# 5 Virat Kohli (Captain):-
The Indian skipper once again showed tremendous character and determination when it mattered the most. As always, Virat Kohli looked solid on both sides of the wicket on all types of surface. The 31-year-old paced his innings superbly and showed efficiency while playing on the front foot as well as the back foot on fast wickets.
The right-hander was spot on with his crisp drives and delightful flicks. Kohli played the ball late on slower wickets but showed great control while playing square of the wicket and while stroking the ball in the gaps. Kohli scored 612 runs in 11 innings with an average of 68 in 2019, and his highest score was 254 not out.
