Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who went under surgery for a sports hernia, has opined that he is fully recovered and is ready to go to the field whenever the game resumes. The pacer last played against West Indies in the T20I series at home in December last year.
Bhuvi’s injury had become a debatable topic because he was again out of the team because of injury. The fast bowler first took the break because of the injury after the West Indies tour in August. He went under the rehabilitation period for two to three months at National Cricket Academy (NCA). He then returned to the team before the West Indies series at home in December but again resurfaced with the old injury ahead of the ODI series.
At NCA, the 30-year-old went under proper check-up and was diagnosed with Sports Hernia. In last January, he underwent the surgery in the UK to get permanent relief from the sour. And since then, he has been out of the team. He was set to make the comeback in the home ODI series against South Africa but the pandemic has played spoilsport.
Bhuvneshwar said to TOI, he is now: “fully recovered from the injury and is raring to go”

The Uttar-Pradesh player also featured in the DY Patil T20 Cup 2020 where Hardik Pandya and Shikhar Dhawan also participated. The duo played for Reliance 1 in that tournament while Bhuvi had a decent outing after the recovery.
Meanwhile, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) premier bowler would have also played the 13th edition of the IPL but the unprecedented virus has triggered the world. IPL 2020, which was earlier set to start from 29th March, has been postponed indefinitely. The game can resume only after the situation gets normal
