The IPL 2020 has been forced to get postponed due to the novel COVID-19 or coronavirus outbreak. During this ongoing lockdown period, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar talked about the leadership qualities of David Warner and Kane Williamson, who have led the SRH in recent times.

The 30-year-old right-arm pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the second most experienced player of the IPL team SRH. While the former SRH cricketer Shikhar Dhawan played 91 matches for this team, Kumar has played 86 matches for this team. However, Kumar is the most wicket-taker for SRH with 109 wickets. Kumar has also led the SRH in six games during the IPL 2019 in the absence of regular captain Kane Williamson.

On the other hand, Kumar is currently the sixth most wicket-taker in IPL history as the right-arm pacer has taken 133 wickets in 117 IPL matches.

I don’t see much difference in approach: Bhuvneshwar Kumar about the SRH captains David Warner and Kane Williamson

In the recent talk with the Times of India, Kumar has claimed that both David Warner and Kane Williamson are very positive captains who believe to lead the team from the front. The right-arm pacer doesn’t see much difference in their leadership approaches.

Kumar told TOI, “I think both the players have done really well for SunRisers Hyderabad and given it their all for their teams cause.

“Both the players led from the front as captains and I am sure it will continue in that way in whatever capacity these guys play. Also, I don’t see much difference in approach, but all I know is they are willing to do everything for the team.”

While the Australian opener David Warner is representing the SRH from 2014, he took the leadership role of this team for the first time in the IPL 2015. Under his captaincy, SRH won their only IPL trophy in 2016. Warner continued his captaincy role till 2017, but he missed out the entire IPL 2018 due to his suspension (by Cricket Australia) for involving in the ball-tampering incident during 2018 Cape Town Test.

In the absence of the skipper Warner, Kane Williamson handled the leadership role of SRH from the beginning of the IPL 2018. The New Zealand skipper Williamson is serving for this side since 2015. Though Warner returned to the SRH team in the IPL 2019, Williamson continued the captaincy of this side.

However, in late February, Warner has been reinstated as the captain of the SRH for the IPL 2020.
