ToggleThe last couple of season witnessed a massive turnaround for Uttar Pradesh-based pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar in his professional career.
From being on fringes of the Indian side back in 2015, Bhuvneshwar is now a premium bowler for India in all three formats of the game.
Also, he is one of the only few who possesses the lucrative A+ contract from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Not only is Bhuvi a winner on the field but also off the cricketing field. The exciting pacer went on to marry his childhood sweetheart, Nupur Nagar, in 2017.
Apart from being retained by the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) this season, Bhuvi was also appointed as the vice-captain of the side, deputizing their newly-appointed captain Kane Williamson.
Bhuvneshwar, during his interview, mentioned that it is impossible to replace a player like David Warner.
He was more decent and innocent and now he has become smarter: Nupur on Bhuvi
“We are going to miss him on the team. He is a player who can win a match single-handedly. He is also one of the best fielders in the world. You will find many players, but you cannot replace a player like Warner,” Bhuvneshwar told The Quint.
Nupur, when asked if it is challenging to marry a cricketer, claimed that the ride is smooth as the couple have known each other for a long time.
“Somewhere very difficult, because he is travelling all the time, but easy because we were friends and it is easier to manage post-marriage,” Nupur stated.
Bhuvi’s better half has been also asked about the change in her spouse’s personality of late.
“He was more decent and innocent and now he has become smarter. It’s called maturity,” suggested Bhuvi’s wife.
The reporter delivered the final googly while asking Nupur whether Bhuvneshwar Kumar is as polite and soft-spoken in private as well.
“No, that’s the public appearance,” replied Nupur candidly.
