Bishan Bedi Criticizes Ishant Sharma For Inappropriate Face Expressions
Former Indian cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi has taken the on-field actions made by Ishant Sharma as offensive and has expressed his discontent on the player’s facial expressions on Sunday.
India were all out for 189 in the second test at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru and the hosts were under severe pressure while bowling. Ishant Sharma, who has been impressive with his bowling, has also managed to grab the attention when he made several facial expressions after bowling to Steve Smith.
Indian skipper, Virat Kohli was already chatting with Steve Smith from slips and Ishant Sharma was quick to join the act and has gained massive attention after trying to imitate the Aussie captain.
When Ishant started making unusual faces on the field, Indian fielders were laughing hysterically along with Virat Kohli as they found a lot of fun in Ishant’s antics. However, few onlookers have taken offence from the pacer’s actions and Bishan Bedi was one of them as he has expressed his opinion on the incident using his twitter handle.
“As it is verbal banters r bad enough-now they r getting ‘facial’ too-all very ugly stuff-Crkt cn do w/out!Let contest btw bat/ball flourish! (sic.)” said Bedi in a tweet.

Former Australian player Ian Heavy has also pointed out at Virat Kohli as he claimed the India skipper have shown disrespect to Australian players.
“The pressure is starting to tell on (Kohli). I’m losing respect for him. He’s not only now continuing his disrespect of the Australian players and umpires, but I think he’s putting pressure on his own players now. You can read pressure all over Ravi Ashwin’s face.
“I think there are massive cracks showing in (Kohli). He’s got to be a lot more respectful of his opponents. The stuff he did with Steve Smith was unacceptable,” Heavy told an Australian newspaper.
Despite all the criticism from Healy, it comes nowhere near the antics that the Aussies used to do in the 2000s and it will only be harsh to criticise Virat & Co.
