Days after the BCCI appointed a five-member new selection committee for Indian cricket team, former Indian captain Bishan Singh Bedi has mocked the new selectors MSK Prasad appointed Indian cricket’s new chief selector.
BCCI on September 21 named a little-known former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, MSK Prasad, as the chairman of the new selection committee during its 87th Annual General Meeting.
Bishan Singh Bedi mocking the BCCI selection process, the former Indian off-spinner termed the new selectors as “a bunch of jokers”. Bedi took the micro-blogging site twitter and wrote, “Why to blame new bunch o jokes..oops..sorry selectors…we must try & find out who put tortoise on top the pole…mustn’t we?!!”
The former Indian coach of the Indian national cricket team is known for his outspoken characteristics and has constantly supported the recommendations of Lodha commission. His tussle with the BCCI administration is well known.
In the overall analysis, the new selection committee has a combined international experience of 13 Tests and 31 ODIs.
Indian fans and experts mocked BCCI for the selection of the inexperienced people.
