Famously known as “Mr Perfectionist” of Bollywood Aamir Khan was not at his perfect best as he suffered a slip on Friday when asked who India’s Women’s cricket team captain is. Amir who is currently promoting his upcoming film – The Secret Superstar was part of the Hindi Commentary team for the final T20I between India and Australia in Hyderabad, but as play was called off without a ball being bowled, the Dangal Star was unable to give his views on the game.
However, he did get a chance to answer few cricketing questions at the pre-match show in the presence of former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag and TV Presenter Jatin Sapru. Amir’s co-star from the film Dangal Zaira Waseem who was also present there and both Amir and Zaira answered one question each correctly. When it was the time for a tiebreaker, Amir and Zaira were asked to name the captain of India’s Women’s Cricket Team.

“I know, but I’m not getting it now,” Amir replied.
Jatin Sapru gave a few hints before both accepted defeat. He finally revealed the name of Mithali Raj, who led India in the Women’s World Cup where India were the runners-up. It was one of the best World Cup campaigns for India till date, and they fell agonisingly close of lifting their maiden World Cup title.
The Women in Blue played some terrific brand of cricket in the group stages, and after a stutter in the middle, they again regrouped and won the must-win encounter against New Zealand to qualify for the Semi-final. In the Semis, India met six times World Champions Australia, but it was a sensational knock by Harmanpreet Kaur which blew away the Aussies as India scored a mammoth 281 in 43 overs.

Even in the final, India was cruising towards the target before a collapse towards the end of the innings hurt them badly and they eventually fell short by 9 runs.
