Narine appeared to have done some serious damage to his knee in attempting a sliding stop at the third man region during the seventh over of England’s chase in the first T20 on Sunday.
A press release from the West Indies Cricket Board(WICB) on Monday confirmed Narine’s recovery and subsequent availability for Tuesday’s game. “West Indies spinner Sunil Narine has recovered from the knee injury he suffered during Sunday’s first T20 International against England at Kensington Oval. He was expected to undergo a scan on Monday morning but it was not required,” the statement read.
Narine currently leads the ICC T20 bowling rankings for bowlers and will spearhead the Windies attack in the World T20.
