Taskin Ahmed grabbed the eyeballs of everyone during his U-19 days after his bowling stint against England went viral on social media. He was called to the national side in 2014 and made the ODI debut against India in the second match of the three-match series.
At Dhaka, Taskin ran through the Indian top-order as he produced an emphatic spell of 8-0-28-5 in a rain-truncated match that saw India collapsing like a heap of cards. The right-arm pacer claimed the wickets of Robin Uthappa, Ambati Rayudu, Cheteshwar Pujara, Amit Mishra and Stuart Binny to achieve the feat. However, his effort went into vain as India won the match 47 runs.
