Former New Zealand’s great cricketer Sir Richard Hadlee emerged as the fast bowler before showing his mettle as the batsman in the early stage of his career. He also happened to be the first player to reach 400 Test wickets, in just 79 matches.
He continued his career as the bowling allrounder and was counted among the likes of Imran Khan, Kapil Dev and Ian Botham as the best allrounders. The cricketer scored 3124 runs in 86 Tests, showcasing his prowess with the bat too. The all-rounder also scored 1751 runs and scalped 158 wickets in 115 ODIs.
