Wasim Akram’s partner in crime with the new-ball, Waqar Younis was known for his searing and toe-crushing yorkers. Waqar, who also served as Pakistan head coach had already left an impact during his heydays with the white-ball.

The right-arm fast bowler Waqar had a quick action which eventually helped him to generate more pace—to rattle the woodwork. Interestingly, his accuracy to bowl on the same line made him threatening for the batsmen now and then.

In 262 ODIs, Waqar bagged 416 wickets at an average of 23.84. He bagged 13 five-fors and 14 four-fors.
