Australia’s back-up wicket-keeper for the Ashes Peter Nevill is all set to make his Test debut replacing Brad Haddin. Peter Nevill is the Second choice keeper for his domestic team New south wales when Haddin has been busy with National duties, but this time he might replace Haddin in an Ashes series. The news is that Brad Haddin might miss the second Ashes test due to some personal reasons.
Peter Nevill’s has an impressive first class career scoring 3,012 runs so far in the 55 matches he played with an excellent average of 44.29 and a best score of 235*. He has also claimed 165 catches and 10 stumpings so far in his first class domestic career.
It would be a dream come true for the 29 year old Australian to receive the baggy green in an Ashes series and he would look to grab this golden opportunity to make merry.
Nevill also won the prestigious Steve Waugh Medal this year after a solid season for New South Wales topping their batting averages with 760 runs at 76.40 including a top core of 235 in Australia’s premier First-Class tournament.
