Brad Hogg Includes Seasoned Players In His Best IPL 2020 XI But No MS Dhoni

Former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg has picked his best IPL 2020 XI as the 13th edition of the league is set to start from 19th September. He has named all the star players in his eleven of the tournament but has not picked the three-time IPL winning captain MS Dhoni.

For the opening position, Brad Hogg has named Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner and Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma.

The duo proved as the best openers of the contemporary cricket. At no.3, Virat Kohli, Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper, is the choice of the former cricketer. Kohli’s regular position is at No.3 and he is unarguably the best at this position.

Starting with the middle order, Hogg has placed SRH’s Kane Williamson at no.4 while also giving him the captaincy charge. Williamson has led SRH in the last season but failed to get the franchise to title win.

The wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, the power hitter, will bat at number five position following who is the KKR’s batting and bowling mainstay Andre Russell. He is the one-man army for the Kolkata-based franchise. Another allrounder in Brad Hogg’s IPL XI is the Chennai Super Kings Ravindra Jadeja, who is the vital cog for the franchise.

Comming in the bowling department, there are two in and out spinners Sunil Nairne and Yuzvendra Chahal. Narine had an amazing CPL 2020 season so he would enter the IPL 2020 with a great form. RCB bowler Chahal has always been the go-to bowler for the captain.

The two India’s premier pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah are in the fast bowling department. Notably, Brad Hogg has not gone with many overseas players.

Here’s Brad Hogg’s XI

David Warner, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson (C), Rishabh Pant (wk), Andre Russell, Ravindra Jadeja, Sunil Narine, Yuzvendra Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah
