Veteran spinner Brad Hogg, who was a part of Australia’s World Cup winning team of 2003 and 2007, is set to sign a contract with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for IPL 8, that begins from April 8th. (earlier he represented Rajasthan Royals)
The 43-year old chinaman, who played a key role for Perth Scorchers in their BBL 04 win, said that he has had a word with the KKR head coach Trevor Bayliss, who told him that the team management is looking forward to work with him.
Hogg said:
“I was talking to Trevor Bayliss. They’re looking to get me over there. It looks like I’m going to the IPL as well.”
When asked about retirement, Hogg said that for now he has no plans to call it a day and also said that he hopes to be a part of the Perth Scorchers for BBL 05.
“There’s no reason at all. As a bowling group with the Perth Scorchers it’s been fantastic this year, I’ve been really enjoying it all so I don’t have any thoughts about retiring. Hopefully, I’ll get another season or two in the Big Bash League (BBL) here with them,” he added.
