Breaking- Sachin Tendulkar did not take money for his biopic
Sachin Tendulkar have not charged anything for the rights of his upcoming biopic movie Sachin Tendulkar- A Billion Dreams. The movie’s release date is yet to be declared as the trailer was out back in April 2016.
This year has been the year of cricket biopics as former Indian captain Mohammed Azharuddin’s Azhar was released earlier followed by much awaited MS Dhoni- The Untold Story.
MS Dhoni’s biopic was recently released and have been doing tremendous business in the market as it is released over 4500 screens and over 60 countries. The movie has raked up over 100 crore in the first five days of its release and it is still going strong at the box office.
However, Dhoni has taken money to sell his biopic rights to Neeraj Pandey and various reports suggest that the sum was around Rs. 13 crore to Rs.40 crore which is yet to be confirmed.
Sachin’s biopic has been the most awaited movie of the year but the release date has not be yet declared despite the trailer being released long ago. In terms of money related to his biopic, Sachin Tendulkar has not charged anything for the producer Ravi Bhagchandka who is a close friend of the master blaster.
The source said, “The film is produced by Sachin’s friend Ravi Bhagchandka. Sachin couldn’t dream of charging any money from him.”
“Not only did Sachin agree to open up about his life’s experiences to the team, he also persuaded his son to play the young Sachin on screen,” the source close to the development has revealed.
Sachin Tendulkar is by far the biggest sports personality in India as he has served the Indian cricket for 24 years and have been the best batsman of his era if not in the game of cricket. The biopic will have the way Sachin has worked hard to get into the national team before becoming arguably the greatest batsman of all-time.
