Brendon McCullum's acrobatic save against Delhi Daredevils
Brendon McCullum's acrobatic save against Delhi Daredevils

Brendon McCullum might have retired from international cricket, but the former New Zealand captain is full of enthusiasm and sheer passion. During his illustrious international career as well, the destructive batsman gave glimpses of his acrobatic abilities in the field. McCullum would time and again be witnessed diving full length in order to save a few priceless runs or to take an extraordinary catch.

In the IPL game last night between the Gujarat Lions and the Delhi Daredevils, McCullum was at his job once again. During the Daredevils’ run chase, on a particular delivery, the ball seemed to be headed for a maximum, before McCullum stepped in.

The ball seemed to be edging over the boundary, but out of nowhere, McCullum, positioned near the boundary, jumped full length and leapt into the air above the boundary line to push the ball back in. As a result of McCullum’s brilliance, the ball was put back into play and he saved a few runs for his side.

Check out the video of McCullum’s acrobatic dive below.
