ToggleBrett Lee, the former Australian pacer, congratulated former Indian skipper MS Dhoni, who recently retired from the international arena besides mentioning that he has the utmost respect for the wicketkeeper-batsman. MS Dhoni has received innumerable tweets from former and current Indian cricketers who have congratulated and wished him good luck in his future endeavors.
Brett Lee represented Australia from 1999 to 2012 whereas, the 39-year-old MS Dhoni represented India from 2004 to 2019 although the latter retired from Tests in 2014. Brett Lee himself played 78 Tests and 221 ODIs for Australia where he picked up 310 and 380 wickets respectively.

MS Dhoni retired from Tests in 2014 to give the likes of Wriddhiman Saha more chances to play for India but still was India’s most successful test captain with 27 test wins out of 60. He featured in 90 Tests scoring 4876 runs at an average of 38.09.

The veteran has played in 350 ODIs and 98 T20Is where he amassed 10773 and 1617 runs respectively averaging 50.53 and 37.60 which is extraordinary. He has innumerable records to his name including the highest score by a wicket-keeper in ODIs when he scored an unbeaten 183 against Sri Lanka in 2005.

MS Dhoni will be seen on the field during the opening match between CSK and Mumbai Indians in UAE on September 19 which was originally slated on March 29 but was postponed due to covid-19 pandemic. He will continue to lead CSK. Brett Lee has dismissed MS Dhoni 5 times in 19 ODIs.
