Carribean Premier League 2018: Shahid Afridi Ruled Out due to a Knee Injury

Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi is ruled out of the 2018 edition of the ongoing Carribean Premier League. Afridi will miss the action due to a knee injury.
Therefore, Jamaica Tallwahs will miss the services of the swashbuckling all-rounder. Subsequently, Afridi drew back his name from the Twenty overs competition.

Meanwhile, Shahid Afridi sustained a knee injury while playing for the Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League. Since the right-hander is recovering from the injury.
However, Afridi also played for the Edmonton Royals in the Canada T20 League despite the injury. The all-rounder featured in six matches for the Edmonton Royals.
Moreover, Shahid Afridi also led the World XI side against the Windies in the Hurrican Relief T20I match in May.
The right-hander hanged his boots from the International cricket last year. However, the former Pakistan captain continues to ply on his trade in different T20 leagues across the globe.
Shahid Afridi had played 38 Tests, 398 ODIs and 99 T20Is for his country scoring 1716, 8064, and 1416 runs, respectively. He was brilliant with his leg-spin bagging 48, 395, and 98 wickets in three forms of the game.
Furthermore, Boom Boom Afridi is well known for his pyrotechnics with the bat. The right-hander has scored 476 sixes and he is leveled with Chris Gayle for the most number of maximums.
Shahid Afridi took to Twitter to share the news. The talisman said that he will be cheering for his team and is hopeful that Imad Wasim will fill in his big shoes.
