Team India skipper Virat Kohli will entertain his die-hard fans in the upcoming soccer fixture for a fundraising campaign alongside leading cricketers of the country.

The star-studded football match will take place at Mumbai’s Football Arena on October 15.

The 28-year-old batting mainstay Kohli is bracing up for the challenge – to wrestle in the football field owing to the social cause, as he is concurrently going through a rigorous schedule with the national fold.

Kohli, who has relished the soccer skills and is bound to lead All Heart HC against All-Stars in the solitary game of the 2017 Celebrity Clasico.

Adamant in approach, Kohli in the 30-second video revealed stamina has to play a significant role in style while challenging the Bollywood actors.

“This time in Celebrity Clasico, my Bollywood friends will come to know that here stamina wins over style. And there are no re-takes in football,” Kohli said in Star Sports’ trailer.

The Bollywood stars will also feature in a football fixture to face cricketers, as All-Stars will play under the tutelage of Abhishek Bachchan.

The local broadcasting giant Star Sports took to micro-blogging website Twitter to reveal about the eagerly-awaited match soon after the India-Australia bilateral series will be culminated with the third and final Twenty20 international in Hyderabad on October 13.

“You have seen @ImVKohli ruling the cricket field, now get set to watch him lead All Heart FC against All Stars FC in the Celebrity Clasico!,” Star Sports confirmed with a video.

The football Clasico witnessed Kohli’s foundation and Abhishek’s ‘Playing for Humanity’ foundation uniting for the cause of charity, in the field of the sport since 2016.

On June 4, 2016, the all-alike football fixture availed the services of former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has had a great affection for soccer eventually, as the spectators witnessed a drawn contest at Andheri’s Sports Complex in Mumbai.

The previous football charity match included Ranbir Kapoor and Shoojit Sircar for the All Stars and Yuvraj Singh followed by KL Rahul were the goal scorers for the All Heart FC.

Moreover, the tickets for the match would go in the range of INR 800 to INR 5,000.

Concurrently, India is leading the three-match Twenty20 international series 1-0 with the second game scheduled on Tuesday (October 10) at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, which would become the 49th venue for India – to host international fixture.

Earlier, in the five-match series, ranked No. one India has clinched the ODI series 4-1.

The hosts India will take on New Zealand from October 22 in the limited-overs series before taking on Sri Lanka from November 16 onwards.
