Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim: 166 against England
It was the first match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 played at The Oval. England had won the toss and asked Bangladesh to bat first. The opener Tamim Iqbal and middle-order batsman Mushfiqur Rahim gave hard time to England bowlers.
Tamim scored 128 runs and Rahim scored 79 runs and led the Tigers to build up the fighting total of 308 runs. However, their 166 runs strong partnership went into vain as England chase down the target with the help of Joe Root and Alex Hale’s masterstroke.
