IPL Postponed till 15th April:
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has suspended the IPL 2020 till April 15 as a precautionary measure amid Covid-19 outbreak.
Earlier, the IPL was scheduled to start from 29th March with Mumbai Indians (MI) set to face Super Kings in the tourney opener.
Now, the fast-spreading Coronavirus will also halt the fans to watch the cricket at stadiums as BCCI is planning to play the league behind the close doors.
According to reports, the BCCI will face the loss of staggering INR 10,000 crores if IPL gets cancelled.
Meanwhile, on Friday, BCCI also called off the three-match ODI series between India and South Africa.
The first match of the series was abandoned because of rain in Dharamshala. For the second match, the Indian team had reached Lucknow but then the series was suspended.
Also, the ongoing series between Australia and New Zealand has been postponed because of increasing Covid-19 cases.
