Cheteshwar Pujara, who played his landmark 50th Test match at Colombo recently, celebrated the occasion with the help of his 13th Test century. The knock witnessed Pujara play in his typical style and propel India to a strong position. Fans, teammates and experts were delighted with his achievement.
But, while the occasion was truly remarkable in nature, there the Saurashtra heavyweight was missing his wife Puja the whole time after accomplishing the fresh milestone.
He tweeted this picture yesterday and captioned it: “Had a memorable #50thtest…thank you all for making it special…missed this face in the stands though. #throwback to good times #lifeline.”

Pujara is in tremendous form and is currently the highest run getter in the series with 301 runs at an average of 100.3 including two centuries.
India registered their second Test series’ win over Sri Lanka in their own backyard after notching up a victory by an innings and 53 runs in the 2nd Test at the SSC in Colombo.
India was already leading the series 1-0 after the win in the first Test at Galle by 304 runs and are now aiming a whitewash with a win in the third and the final encounter in Pallekele. The Virat Kohli led side will had won the previous tour 2-1 series back in 2015 and now has an opportunity to better the record.
One change confirmed
Left-arm spinner Axar Patel has been asked to fly down to Sri Lanka to join the team as the replacement Ravindra Jadeja in the 15-member Indian team for the 3rd cricket Test.
Jadeja will be forced to miss the final Test after he was handed a one match ban on Sunday owing to the accumulation of demerit points which reached six within a 24-month period. His latest breach of the ICC Code of Conduct was recorded during the 2nd Test when the umpires reported him for throwing the ball dangerously at Malinda Pushpakumara.
