Chris Gayle denies exposing to woman in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015
In an official statement released by his management group, Chris Gayle has denied all the allegations made on him regarding exposing his genitals to a woman, who was working with the West Indies team during the Cricket World 2015.
In the statement, they talked about the news published by the Fairfax Media and have made it clear that Chris and the management group will look for all the possible legal options available to them to sue any organisations that spread false news regarding Gayle. Also, it added that Gayle will not speak anything else on this matter for now.
Earlier, Fairfax Media had reported a lady stating that Gayle had pulled his towel down to partially expose his genitals to her. The lady was working with the West Indian team at Sydney during the 2015 T20 World Cup and had gone to the dressing room looking for sandwiches as she didn’t eat anything since morning.
She had thought that players would be out for training but Gayle was there along with another player. Gayle then partially pulled down his towel to expose his genitals and said, “Are you looking for this?”. This is what was published by the Fairfax media.
Earlier Gayle was fined ten thousand Australian dollars for his inappropriate remarks on Mel McLaughlin, presenter for Channel 10. Gayle also apologised to her. However, Gayle was not suspended and will now play against Melbourne Stars in their derby clash. Renegades now need to win all their matches to have a sure shot chance of making it to the semi-finals. The money that Gayle paid as the fine was given to Glenn McGrath foundation, which aims to cure Breast cancer.
