Chris Gayle launches 'Six Machine', Virender Sehwag attends 1

West Indies star player Chris Gayle has launched his autobiography ‘ Six Machine’ in New Delhi. The 36-year old has a fan base across the world as he has earned fans from all across the world by participating and entertaining fans across various T20 leagues all around the world.

The Jamaican has released his book in India where he has a tremendous fan following for his exploits with Royal Challengers Bangalore as he always describes India and Bangalore as his second home.

The event was organised by Dunamis Sportainment and BCCI president Anurag Thakur and legendary batsman Virender Sehwag have attended the book launch.

Anurag Thakur said: “We (India and West Indies) share the same history with them as we fought against imperialism.

On a lighter note, he also added: “Australia, West Indies and India have won World Cups, but the masters of the game have not.”

He also glorified Gayle’s fan following in India by saying, “Chris Gayle is more popular in Kanpur than in Kingston. He brings cultures and countries together.”

Virender Sehwag who is known for his humor has said: “Chris has scored a three hundred, but doesn’t have a five wicket haul like me”, to which Gayle replied: “I have two 5-wicket hauls, Mr. Viru!”.

“He scored two-three hundreds in the first series against India, and I was mightily impressed. Now, Chris and me talk a lot always talk about sixes. He is a huge star and has made the game popular”.

Gayle who has recently become a father to a baby girl has asked tips from Virender Sehwag over fatherhood to which Viru replied saying he teach his compatriot about changing diapers.

Viru also wished Gayle a huge success on his book by adding, “I am confident that ‘Six Machine’ will be well received by cricketing fans around the world”

Speaking about his book, Gayle said: “I’m really excited about releasing my first book. I hope it can reach far and wide, through cricket and beyond, for there are stories to tell and secrets I’ve waited a long time to share. Being me is fun. I don’t believe in boring. And Six Machine is me, in every way,” he added.
