Chris Gayle does not give many chances to the fielders on the ground. Most of his hits go all the way over the rope. Some even go over the roof of the stadiums. Such is the power of the man from Jamaica.

During his recent knock of 151 off 62 balls, Gayle made it look very easy as he sent a couple of balls over the roof of the stadium into the river. The ball was hit into the Taunton’s River Tone. However, Somerset lost the match by 3 runs to Kent in the final over.

Martin Bullock, a man from Somerset may have just elevated himself to the status of the biggest fan of Chris Gayle. During the match,  Gayle hit the ball into the river. After the 15th maximum of Gayle’s innings, Bullock was seen swimming for the ball in the river.

Bullock, who was very excited, sent a tweet along with the video and praised Gayle for his master class. He also explained that he swam in the river for his souvenir.

The Somerset team also tweeted about this incident with humor. The batsmen himself was very impressed by his fans commitment. Gayle tweeted, a ‘hats off’ to Bullock. He also signed the ball for Bullock and made his day.

Bullock who was excited posted the picture of the ball along with the autograph on his official twitter page. This incident has shown the popularity of the monster from Jamaica all around the world.
