Chris Lynn, who will feature for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, has heaped praise on Rohit Sharma’s batting skills. He will play the first season for MI before which he had played for Kolkata Knight Riders from 2014-2019.
In the video uploaded in the Mumbai Indians’ Twitter account, Lynn was seen speaking highly about the Mumbai skipper. He marked Rohit as the world-class player and is impressed with his on and off-field contribution.
“Rohit, what a world-class player! Runs on the board… On and off the field what he’s contributed to Mumbai is something really really special.”
Further in the video, Chris Lynn also said that it was an honour for him to represent Mumbai, who according to him are the best team in the IPL currently. He mentioned that it was a privilege for him to play in the IPL.
He also praised MI’s opening batsman Quinton de Kock, saying that he is outstanding both with glove and bat.
“And Quinny has been outstanding with the gloves and the bat in hand,” he quipped.
Chris Lynn ready to play at any position:
Chris Lynn is also an opener but MI already has two best openers Rohit and Quinton. So, he might have to warm benches in the IPL. But he stated that he could bat anywhere for the team, as decided by coach Mahela Jayawardene.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians will play the tournament opener against Chennai Super Kings on the 19th of September. The game will be organised at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium and will broadcast on Star Sports as well as Hotstar.
