CLT20 2014:Lahore Lions vs Dolphins: Preview: First win requring teams face each other
Courtesy of weather, the Group A of the CLT20 tournament has now become group of death, after match between Lahore Lions and Chennai Super Knings been washed out. Again, at the same venue Dolphins and Lions look to face each other. Both team are now looking for a win and the lossing team in this game will have a direct ticket to fly to home.
Dolphins had their chances in both the games they lost. With conceding 12 off last 2 balls vs Perth Dolphins wasted their efforts of defending an average total. Later against Chennai, despite of needing to chase a huge total, the South Africans kept the chase on but lost the plot to find themselves on lossing end. Now in this crucial game, they will be looking for their kep players like Delport, van Wky, Frylinck and Alexander to fire up.
Unlike Dolphins, Lahore are up to a unlike start. Came through the qualifying rounds, Lahore started well against KKR in the first game but Narine;s magic let the Pakistan team down. Even though they tried to pull the game off, it became too late. However, their 2nd game was washed out producing 2 points making them a slight ahead of Dolphins.
However, the Dolphins will be needing to see Perth Scorchers beating CSK and later beating KKR in their last game along with Lahore beating Perth. For Lahore, it is simple and clear as it depends on their own hands winning this and the last game.
The Bangalore weather has been unpredictable. No one is assured over the rain’s coming during the game or not. But compared to that on other day, the prediction is better and chances of raining are too less. If the weather doesn’t spoils, we might witness another run feast, thanks to shorter boundaris which doesn’t consider the nature of the pitch.
