Birthday wishes were pouring in from all quarters as legendary batsman Rahul Dravid turned 44 on Wednesday.

Dravid, who is currently the head coach of India ‘A’ and India Under 19 teams, is one of the finest players to grace the game and made his presence felt in modern cricket with his pure cricketing techniques. Fondly known as The Wall for his playing style, he made his India debut in April 1996 in an ODI against Sri Lanka. Two months later, he made a memorable entry into Test cricket scoring 95 on debut at Lord’s. He finished his illustrious career with 13288 runs in 164 Tests and 10889 runs in 344 matches.

As expected, his former India teammate Virender Sehwag led the birthday wishes for the modern batting great.

Sehwag, who has been an absolute revelation on the social media ever since hanging his boots, tweeted:“He played in the V.
But was the biggest C. Commitment, Class, Consistency, Care. Proud to have played together. Happy Birthday #RahulDravid
