The Committee Of Administrators To Look Into Conflict Of Interest Issue Seriously 1

The Committee of Administrators (COA) appointed by the Supreme Court of India has decided to look into the matter of Conflict of Interest seriously as the committee is keen to put the officials who are in this conflict on the line, as per the recommendations of the Lodha Panel. The Conflict of Interest is an issue which has become the piece which many Indian officials have not been able to swallow and many greats of the game including Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid found themselves in the Conflict of Interest row.

The concern and the tension regarding the matter were at its peak during the 2015/16 season of the domestic cricket when many questions were raised one the sideline of domestic games. Narendra Hirwani, the former Indian leggie was the first one to set an example for others as he quite the job the moment he found himself in the row.

The matter has taken a back seat from past many months but now has again caught attention since the name of Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid has again erupted in this issue. Shashank Manohar though in the year 2015, during the time he was chief of BCCI has said that Ganguly is not under any conflict of interest row.

The COA is keen to look into this matter but only after categorically understanding what comes under this category.

The four-member selection came into existence after an order by Some Court of India to look into the day to day working of the Board on January 30 after the apex court sacked BCCI President Anurag Thakur and the Secretary Ajay Shirke in an order on January 2.
