As much as he likes to bat with freedom, India skipper Virat Kohli is equally expressive with his mouth too. The 30-year old flamboyant cricketer, who is known to wear his heart on his sleeve, rarely shies away from speaking his mind out. From praising his teammate or criticising them, slamming the opposition or lauding them for a good performance, Kohli rarely beats around the bushes.
And in a a candid interview, Kohli has clearly pointed out where cricket stands in his life. The cricket superstar has said that family will be of utmost priority for him once he hangs up his boots.
“Eight years down the line, priority would be family. Priority would be myself, Anushka Sharma and our family by then. Cricket would obviously be a part of my life always, but I think family should be priority at all times, because nothing is bigger than life. Cricket is a part of life, nothing should be bigger than life,” Virat Kohli said on his Mobile Application.

“I know people take life too seriously and be like…’if you don’t take cricket too seriously, then you’re not committed enough’. I don’t believe in all that. The larger picture always has to be life because whatever happens and may happen, you always come back home.
“So, I think the priority will be family, should be family. Cricket will be a very special part of my life, but it’s not the most important thing in life is the way I see it. I am blessed to be able to do it right now, it has to end one day. Eight years down the line, I think I will be totally focused on my family,” he added.
Virat Kohli, meanwhile, has added yet another feather to his already illustrious cap by leading India to Test and ODI series victories in Australia this month. In doing so, he became the first-ever India captain to win a Test and bilateral ODI series on the Australian soil. Kohli will now be looking to continue his impressive run as captain in the upcoming tour of New Zealand. India will play five ODIs and three T20Is against the Black Caps before flying back to the country.
