Indian cricket’s bad boy, S Sreesanth, is known for his on-field theatrics. Now, he turns to acting, dancing and song-writing for a living.
Now, with cricket off the agenda for him, he seems to have turned his attention more firmly to acting, dancing and song-writing. He is set to score music for Anbulla Azagae a Tamil-Telugu film his brother Dipu Shanthan is producing, as well as play a cameo role in it. His brother-in-law Madhu Balakrishnan, too, will sing for the film.
“Sree will be composing all songs in the movie, a love story laced with suspense and drama. The main cast of the film hasn’t been finalised yet, but it will have the best in the industry,” said Dipu Shanthan, the film’s producer and Sreesanth’s elder brother, who owns a music company in Kochi.
Sreesanth is also likely to feature in the next season of dance-based TV show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa that is expected to start in August-September. “His assignment with Colors (TV channel) will not clash with his film,” said Shanthan.
Sreesanth, who was banned last year after being found guilty of being involved in the IPL spot-fixing scandal, Sreesanth had produced and directed two music albums till now, the last during the 2011 World Cup.
Incidentally, the match-fixing case will be heard in court on May 16. Last year the same day he was arrested by the Delhi police for playing a key role in a spot-fixing scam with two other players of the Rajasthan Royals team.
