The Indian middle-order batsman is a co-owner of UP hockey franchises in HIL in November 2014, Suresh Raina became the second cricketer to be associated with the Hockey India League (HIL) as he became the co-owner of the Uttar Pradesh Wizards franchise. On his association with the Sahara Group-owned team, Raina said that he was “proud” to be associated with hockey, which boasts of rich history in the country.
“It is a memorable day for me because today I am immensely proud to be associated with the national sport of our country, hockey, by joining UP Wizards,” he had said.
