Well, ever since the Delhi court had withdrawn all charges of Spot fixing levied by Delhi Police against Sreesanth and others, no one except for Saurav Ganguly had given any statement on this complex issue. However, an important member of the Indian cricket team and a very senior cricketer Suresh Raina has boldly spoken regarding this critical issue.
In case a very interesting story currently running on Firstpost.com is to be believed, on the first visit to his in-law’s village Bamnauli along with his bride Priyanka, the newly married Raina was responding to questions on the recent verdict by a Delhi court discharging cricketers S Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan in the 2013 IPL spot-fixing case.
Recently, the Uttar Pradesh batsman opened up about the misdeed which has lingered cricket and gave his views regarding the same. While speaking about spot fixing, Raina was adamant that cricketers have no role in spot fixing.
