Ian Botham made 11 appearances in the Football League as a centre-half for Scunthorpe United Football Club. Botham’s somerset teammate, Viv Richards too acquired legendary status in cricket, winning the Cricket World Cup medal twice but was less successful when representing Antigua in the 1974 World Cup qualifiers.
