Ricky Ponting:

Australia’s three-time World Cup winner Ricky Ponting was also not untouched with the alcohol issue. Luckily, he was involved in such a case in 1999 before he too the captaincy charge.
At a Sydney nightclub, the former cricketer was punched on his face and was left with a bruise under his left eye. He was subsequently dropped from Australia’s one-day team. Citing that he had no recollections of the incident, he admitted that he had a problem with alcohol.
Nevertheless, he rode back to the team and became the captain during Australia’s golden era, leading them to two world cup victories in 2003 and 2007.
Liam Plunkett:

England’s one of the prominent cricketers Liam Plunkett is the most underrated players of cricket history. He has given his best during crunch situations and led the team to finish line with his fast bowling. He was the lynchpin for the team in the World Cup 2019 victory but very few know his name. It can be because of past old infamous incidents.
He was involved in alcohol controversy for not one time but two times in his ongoing career. He was first banned for driving in 2007 after being caught in drinking and driving. He was once again got in the same debacle and was banned for 40 months from driving in 2012.
