Abdul Kardar

Abdul Kardar was the first skipper of Pakistan and also their greatest. The man was responsible for creating the identity, Pakistan cricket cherishes today. He sowed the seeds of a new era in the Pakistan cricket. Long story short, his contribution to Pakistan cricket has been so immense, that he was bestowed upon with the title of being the father of Pakistan cricket.
But, before all of this extraordinary events took place, Kardar, the flamboyant batsman then known as Abdul Hafeez, played for India in the 1946 tour of England before choosing to stay in Pakistan. He led Pakistan in 23 Tests and was known for his outspoken manner and retired from international Test cricket in 1958.
