Gul Mohammad was also another cricketer who played for India in the pre-partition era and later for Pakistan on the post partition period. Gul was born in 1921 in Lahore. As a young cricketer, who specialised as a left-arm fast bowling all-rounder, played for the Islamia College before becoming a part of the glorious cricketing culture and inter collegiate rivalry. He made his debut in the Ranji Trophy in 1938 for Northern India, Eight years later, he made his Test debut for India against England a Lord’s and went on to play nine Tests in his career before becoming a Pakistan citizen in 1955 and representing them for a single Test in 1956.
