The MSK Prasad-led selection panel of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday announced the three Indian squads (ODIs, T20Is and Tests) for the upcoming tour of the West Indies which starts from August 3 in Florida. As expected, MS Dhoni is out from the squads, who took a couple of months leave from cricket to work for Indian Army. Meanwhile, David Lloyd found it funny.
India’s senior selection committee chairman MSK Prasad said retirement decisions are “purely individual” and that MS Dhoni should go out in his own terms when addressing speculations surrounding the wicketkeeper-batsman future
MSK Prasad confirmed that MS Dhoni is not available for the limited-overs series while adding that the selection committee is looking at giving more opportunities to Rishabh Pant across all three formats.
“He [MS Dhoni] is unavailable for this series. he has expressed his unavailability. Having said that, we had certain road maps till the World Cup. Subsequently, post the World Cup, we have laid down few more plans. We thought of giving as many opportunities to Rishabh Pant to see he is groomed. That’s our plan right now,” MSK Prasad told the press in Mumbai
Meanwhile, David Lloyd, the former cricketer of England found a fun side of it, who replied to the story with a couple of smiling emojis. Certainly, it didn’t went well with the fans of MS Dhoni, who once again showed their other side on Twitter.

David is laughing coz just to satisfy his ego, our so-called greatest finisher, does nt want to b on the mercy of selectors and labelled as "once-great-now-sidelined" Cricketer. He has his own la-la land where he lives and plays Cricket in a delusional state.

India’s tour of the West Indies will begin with a three-match T20I series starting August 3. The teams will then play three ODIs and two Test matches between August 8-30. The two Test matches will be part of the inaugural edition of the ICC World Test Championship.
