He further feels the contest between the two heavy-weights of the gentleman’s game has shared pretty similar flair of the Ashes’ oldest rivalry – a series which comprises of five Tests.

“[The] passion and aggression is on field it will be there. It’s a lot like we have with England in the Ashes. That level of competitiveness is great for the game,” Warner was quoted as saying by India Today.

“People like seeing that rivalry and we absolutely thrive on playing each other,” Warner maintained.

Pertinently, upset looking Warner remarked it is amusing to witness the series being portrayed between the top-ranked sides – to make it more of a profit-oriented while seeing the commercials in the country.

“It’s quite funny how the series are commercialized. Every time I come to this country, you watch the commercials,” Warner asserted.

As it has been visible to see the hosts India and Australian players are playing with pure aggression and intention to win while banking on their passionate players when it comes to the head-to-head contests.

“Don’t think it should be portrayed like that. The rivalry started in Australia. We are both so competitive and we want to beat each other,” Warner further added.
