David Warner Relieved After Resolve of Pay Dispute 1
Australia's David Warner said he is looking to play with patience in order to put an end to his dip in form in ongoing Test series against India.

The pay dispute surrounding the Australian players and the management was finally solved with both the players and the management agreeing on a new “in-principle” deal which makes sure that the upcoming series against Bangladesh, India and England are in safe hands and will commence as per schedule.

“Today’s agreement is the result of sensible compromises by both parties,” CA chief James Sutherland said and also added that the core issues have been worked out. He also stated that this move will restore certainty to the game of cricket. “It will allow all players — state and international players — to be contracted immediately and it will also allow the all-important tour of Bangladesh to proceed as planned,” he said.

The rift has been going on for a long period of time which has rattled the game and also made the relationship between the players and the governing body pretty sour. It also meant that 230 cricketers were left unemployed since the end of June which had put the future tour of Bangladesh and India and also the Ashes in their own den later in the year. But following the resolution of the pay dispute, the upcoming series will go on according to plan.

Australia will now travel to Bangladesh and will meet Bangladesh at Dhaka on August 18 followed by the limited overs tour to India in September-October. The eagerly anticipated Ashes will commence from November.

Meanwhile, Aussie opener David Warner expressed his relief at the resolve of the pay dispute which had put many future tours in doubt. Taking to his twitter handle, Warner wrote, “Great outcome to retain the revenue share for all players now and in the future while supporting the games grassroots.” It is a pretty valid point made by Warner as it is a great outcome for which will benefit both the current players and will improve cricket at the grassroots level.

The southpaw also added that he is looking forward to getting back out on the park and play some good brand of cricket which they love doing and also thanked everyone for their unending support. “Looking forward to getting back out on the park and doing what we love, playing cricket. Thanks everyone for your support,” Warner tweeted.
