Australia’s opener David Warner roar back into form in style in the ongoing Sheffield Shield while playing for New South Wales against Queensland. Warner scored a fine knock of 125 runs off 221 balls with the help of 18 fours. The southpaw batsman had struggled in the Ashes but was able to get back amongst the runs in Australia’s domestic circuit.

Meanwhile, Queensland was skittled out for 153 runs by New South Wales after the former’s captain won the toss and decided to bat first. Harry Conway was the pick of the bowlers for New South Wales as he scalped a five-wicket haul and conceded only 17 runs in the 13 overs he bowled.

Warner is back in form.

Sean Abbott snared three wickets whereas Trent Copeland and Moises Henriques took one wicket each. On the other hand, Marnus Labuschagne continued his good form going as the right-hander scored a fine knock of 69 runs. However, Usman Khawaja could not get back into runs as he managed a solitary run.

Meanwhile, Warner was able to hit the ground running for New South Wales. However, Warner’s innings was put paid by Marnus Labuschagne when the leg-spinner was able to plumb him in front of the wickets.

Nick Bertus also scored a fine knock of 53 runs for New South Wales. On the other hand, Cameron Gannon has taken a five-wicket haul for Queensland.

David Warner had made a scintillating comeback to competitive cricket as he had scored 647 runs in the World Cup. He was the second-highest run-getter of the tournament behind Indian opener Rohit Sharma.

However, Warner had a tough time in the Ashes as he could only manage 95 runs in 10 innings. The left-hander was troubled by England’s pack leader Stuart Broad who got his wicket on seven occasions. Thus, Warner would be delighted to get back into form.
