Former Australia vice-captain, David Warner will hold a press conference to discuss the recent issue, Cricket Australia confirmed. Meanwhile, it is likely that Warner was the main instigator of the ball-tampering scandal that rocked the cricket world.

A CA investigation found Warner instructing Cameron Bancroft on how to scuff up one half of the ball with sandpaper during the third Test against South Africa.

Meanwhile, CA banned Warner for 12 months and debarred him from holding the captain’s role ever. Bancroft received a 9-month ban while axed captain Steve Smith got 12 months ban. Also, Bancroft and Smith will lead an Australian team for the next two years.

The drama unfolded one step further when Darren Lehmann announced his resignation post this series yesterday. However, CA gave him a clean chit in the wake of the ball-tampering scandal.

CA said on Friday that Warner, who arrived home separately from his former captain, would hold a formal media conference on Saturday. New South Wales Cricket’s office is likely to host the press conference.

However, Bancroft and Smith gave an emotional interview yesterday. They both broke down in front of the media and apologized to the fans.

Warner has largely remained silent despite being a target for everybody. The southpaw, who reached the country late night addressed some local media at the airport.

As you can understand, it has been a tough, emotional time for my wife and kids,” Warner said at Sydney airport.

At the present time, you’ll hear from me in a couple of days. At the moment, my priority is to get these kids in bed, and rest up and get my mind a bit clear so I can think, and talk in a couple of days,” Warner concluded.
