  1. Maiden test century for Hooper:

After making his test debut in 1987, Carl Hooper could not announce himself at the big stage until 5 years later when he smashed his first international century at an important time against Pakistan.

In the 3rd test in Pakistan’s tour of West Indies, at Antigua, Hooper, who came out to bat after the loss of 4 wickets went into the innings break at 178 not out. This was the first time he touched triple digits and it was a game to remember as though it was a draw, it meant that the West Indies took a 2-0 lead in the series.

The best part of innings was how he managed to keep Walsh away from danger by letting him face just 31 balls in the last 23 overs. Surely, Hooper will not forget this day in a hurry.
