Born on this day in 1982, Johan Botha is one of the best limited over spinner that South Africa has produced over the years.
He made his debut against India in 2005 when he had to replace Nicky Boje for a tour to the Sub-continent. He did not have a great start to his career as just a year later, he was suspended by the ICC for a faulty bowling action and was banned from international cricket. Though he managed to come-back into the international arena, his action was never really cleared and he had to play in a stop-start career.
However, he managed to establish himself as an experienced bowler in the domestic circuit of the sport all over the world and is currently a part of the Daredevils outfit in the IPL.
