The chirpy wicket keeper from Queensland, Ian Healy was born on this very day back in 1964.

Making his international debut in 1998, Healy went on to become one of the best wicket-keeper batsmen in the world. His exploits against the likes of Shane Warne have always shown the world what he is capable of and with his blistering innings lower down the order, Healy was almost the perfect player for a test team.

He retired in 1999 after happily awarding the gloves to Adam Gilchrist ad turned into a TV Commentator with great insight into the game.
