Born on this day in 1979, Jacques averaged 47.00 in his test career with three centuries and a best of 150 against Sri Lanka in 2007. A persistent back problem ended his test career early as he announced his retirement as early as in 2012. However, since then he has been a consistent batsman in the domestic arena playing for Yorkshire in England.
