- Birthday – Andy Flower:
With an average of more than 50 in a 63-match test career, Andy Flower is one of the best players to come out of Zimbabwe in recent times.
In his prime, Andy flower scored 1466 runs at the unbelievable average of 133.27 in 11 games between November 2000 and 2001 and played one of the best Test knocks ever in this time. His 142 and 199 not out against South Africa at Harare is still remembered as one of the most extraordinary test innings’ ever.
He went on to coach the England national team for 5 years in which he took the team to an Ashes victory at home and also their first ICC trophy, the WorldT20 in 2010. He also took England to the top of the Test rankings to top off a great job with the Three Lions.
